Reaching the testing facility -Make sure you know how to arrive to the test center on time by checking the start time of your IELTS test before the test day. To ensure you’re ready, it is advised doing this a week in advance.
The IELTS exam terms and conditions provide crucial information on your test day, so be sure you’ve read and comprehended them.
– You might not be permitted to take the IELTS if you arrive late. Switch off all of your electrical gadgets, including your phone. These will be kept outside of the exam room along with other personal possessions.
– It takes two hours and forty minutes to complete the listening, reading, and writing tests. Please be aware that the exams will not be interrupted.
-You are not allowed to bring food or beverages into the test room. Before your test, make sure you eat something substantial.
-Your identity documents- When you arrive, IELTS personnel will verify your identity using the documentation you were given when you registered for the test. You will not be allowed to take the test if you arrive without the proper identification. Before you take the test, IELTS personnel will snap a picture of you as an extra security precaution. Your test report form will utilize this picture.
-On your desk, you are only permitted to have a pencil, pen, ID, and eraser.
– To get the invigilator’s attention and avoid disturbing other test takers, raise your hand if you need to use the restroom during the exam.
-If you would like to ask a question during the test, raise your hand to get the invigilator’s attention.
Make sure you can clearly hear the recording when the listening test time comes. Raise your hand and let the invigilator know if you are unable to. You will have ten minutes to complete the answer sheet following the listening portion. Make sure to enter your responses on your answer sheet as you finish each section, though, as you won’t have ten minutes after the reading portion.
-When the test is over- Until the invigilator gives you the all-clear to exit the test room, stay seated. Tell the invigilator right away if you think there may have been any problems that influenced your performance. You must complete the Complaint Form as soon as possible if you wish to file a complaint regarding your test day.
